Expresia fenotipică a genei Opaque-2 la porumbul tetraploid

Abstract

In this study we aimed to analyze the segregation pattern of the gene opaque-2 in tetraploid maize of F2 generation obtained by self-pollination of duplex heterozygotes. We also analyzed if there are any changes in the fraction quota of the grain due to the mutant gene. The obtained results showed random chromosomal segregation of the gene opaque-2 with a phenotypic ratio of 35:1 in the F2 generation confirmed by the chi-test (c 2 ), which generated a value of 0.055. The analysis of grain fractions revealed a higher embryo and lower endosperm quotas in the mutant grains compared with the normal ones, though at insignificant level (P>0,05).

Se prezintă analiza modelului de segregare a genei opaque-2 la porumbul tetraploid în generaţia a doua (F2 ) obţinută prin autopolenizarea unui heterozigot duplex. De asemenea, s-a studiat dacă există modificări ale cotei fracţiilor bobului datorită genei mutante. Rezultatele obţinute au arătat că gena opaque-2 a segregat în generaţia F2 după modelul cromozomal aleatoriu într-un raport fenotipic de 35:1 confirmat de testul chi (c 2 ), care a generat o valoare de 0,055. Analiza fracţiilor bobului a relevat o cotă mai mare a embrionului şi una mai redusă a endospermului în boabele mutante, comparativ cu cele normale, deşi la nivel nesemnificativ (P>0,05).
