Abstract:
The biological active product ZooBioR, obtained from Spirulina platensis can be used as an additive for the feed of laying quails, intensively exploited for meat and eggs. The active substances in this natural remedy have benefic impact for animals, especially quail. Research focused on testing the ZooBioR remedy was initiated on young quails at the egg-laying cycle beginning, the study duration was 4 months. The experiment was carried out in poultry farm conditions, on 200 quail belonging to the Texas Universal breed, divided into 4 batches of 50 birds each. The purpose of this research was to highlight the research product effect on the trypsinantitrypsin system marker indicators in laying quails. The ZooBioR product was administered with the purpose of prophylactic treatment to 3 experimental quail batches with food in three different doses: 10; 15 and 20 mg of active substance/kg of concentrated feed, daily during the experimental period. The birds in the control group did not benefit from any food supplement. For biochemical investigations, blood was taken from the birds 3 times consecutively: at the beginning of the experiment until the administration of the tested product, during the study 1 month after the beginning of the research and at the end of the experiment. The results showed that the tested product was well tolerated by the quails, showing beneficial properties to improve the metabolic status, especially the trypsin-antitrypsin system.
