dc.description.abstract | The master's thesis is dedicated to the pathology of the dog's locomotor system, especially patella dislocation, the main cause being traumatic, but also genetic. This pathology is very often recorded in dogs, both in large and small breeds, characterized by the deviation of the patella in three directions; medial, lateral and proximal from the trochlear groove. This paper deals with the surgical repair of patella dislocation in this animal species. Patella dislocation repair can be performed surgically by three basic methods, which consist of: transposition of the tibial crest, deepening of the trochlear groove, and the combined method. | en_US |
