This paper describes the history of collars, from prototype collar - necklace and ending with the official history of the modern types of collars. There is also presenting the most correct, in terms of structure, classification of modern types of collars. This paper describes the currently used major and finishing materials for collars. Also presents the design features of modern types of collars.
