dc.description.abstract Based on the reference data on the ionization potentials and affinity of atoms and molecules, we show the high quantum mechanical efficiency of formation of molecules with covalent chemical bonding. The presented calculations prove the key role of the structure of atoms and the fundamental significance of the notions of both electronegativity and rigidity of free atoms and molecules (according to Mulliken) for analyzing the efficiency of formation of molecules on the basis of the relationship of O.G. Ramer. en_US
