Abstract:
This paper sets into parallel lines the birth and the evolution, in Europe, of a
discipline—the History of Technology—and that of an idea which leads to the
construction of the European Union. It shows the dependence of the History of
Technology and of the idea of European unity on human thought, on cultural and
spiritual contexts. At the same time highlights a wide range of chronological
similarities, of a similar rhythm of evolution, maturation, and implementation.
