Abstract

On the livestock products market of RM a noticeable distortion can be observed between needs - offer, raw material production and its industrial processing. A dispersed production of raw material and its processing at a limited number of oversized plants endowed with outdated equipment and technology leads to a limited range of low quality products unable to compete with the imported ones. Setting the production plants near raw material producers, establishing small enterprises endowed with modern equipment and technologies can bring a radical modernization of the economic segment. The Technological Transfer Centre of TUM was created as a pilot station in order to promote this policy by training, research, designing, and counseling.
