Abstract:
The CuO:Ag nanocrystallites were synthesized from the chemical solutions (SCS). Morphological and
chemical properties were investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and EDX, respectively. Gas sensing
studies were performed by exposing CuO:Ag nanocrystallites based gas sensors to three types of reducing gases,
namely H2, C2H5OH and CH4. It was observed that by doping CuO with Ag and by exposing samples to different types of
thermal annealing, sensors with high selectivity can be obtained. It was demonstrated possibility to change selectivity
of copper oxide nanocrystallite films by doping with Ag.
