dc.description.abstract	The development of the information society creates new opportunities for the health system. Great promise in this field is offered by the use of telemedicine technologies. In this regard, the article discusses a brief overview of telemedicine. The current state of telemedicine services in the Republic of Moldova is reviewed. The situation of the development of Information and Communication Technologies is assessed on the basis of statistical data. The most common obstacles to telemedicine programs and the factors that contribute to the promotion and development of solutions in the field of telemedicine are discussed.	en_US
