Metodologii de evaluare a calităţii vieţii la nivel mondial

Abstract

În articol este abordat conceptul teoretic de evaluare a standardelor de viaţă ale populaţiei, care în condiţiile globalizării devin un factor de competitivitate a ţărilor. Autorul dezbate unele concepte metodologice, utilizate pentru evaluarea calităţii vieţii (CV), din perspectiva nivelului mondial. Se utilizează o gamă largă de informaţii teoretice şi statistice, utilizate în metodologiile „The Economist Intelligence Unit”, pe marginea evaluării CV la nivel global. Autorul susţine, că dezvoltarea umană poate fi definită ca un proces de extindere a oportunităţilor oamenilor de a alege condiţiile de viaţă. Metodologiile, existente în domeniu, evaluează CV din diferite perspective, dar toate recunosc, că dezvoltarea umană este atât un proces, cât şi un rezultat final. Din perspectiva dezvoltării umane, autorul argumentează rolul şi importanţa evaluării subiective a CV, efectuate prin sondaje publice. In articol sunt analizate rezultatele sondajelor publice, efectuate în ţările Uniunii Europene, de către „The Economist Intelligence Unit”, în perioada anilor 2005, 2007 şi 2009, pe componentele CV şi sunt formulate concluziile respective.

The article argues the theoretical concept of assessing the population’s standard of living, which in conditions of globalization becomes a factor of competitiveness among countries. The authors show some of the methodological concepts used for assessing the quality of life (QL) from a worldwide perspective. Using a wide range of theoretical and statistical information, they describe The Economist Intelligence Unit’s Quality-of-Life Index (QLI). The authors argue that human development can be defined as an enlargement process of opportunities for people to choose from. From the perspective of human development, opportunities for people extend, in most cases, in three critical areas: life expectancy, educational level, and access to economical resources necessary for a decent level of living. From the perspective of human development, it is argued the role and importance of subjective evaluation of your resume made public surveys. The article analyzes the results of public polls conducted in the European Union countries „The Economist Intelligence Unit" during the years 2005, 2007 and 2009, and the CV components; there are formulated conclusions.
