dc.description.abstract This paper examines the role of investment promotion agencies (IPA) and suggests a model of IPA for Moldova, based on the successful international experience. Creation and streamlining of national IPA activities in combination with other policy measures to increase the investment attractiveness of the country is an example of proactive policies that governments can implement to increase FDI inflows and handle the growing competition for these flows. en_US
