Abstract:
The European Union is one of the most dynamic and attractive tourist regions in the world with a strong impact on the economies of the Member States. The development of this economic activity is guided by the set of programs, actions, norms, etc. known as tourism policy, which has taken on a more pronounced shape in recent decades. The article examines the emergence and evolution of this policy, as well as the programs with targeted actions and how to implement them. Knowledge of these practices, and of the logic of the actions would allow an easier connection of the national legislation to the community one, as well as a more efficient functioning of the national tourist entities on the market of the tourist services in the European Union.
