dc.description.abstract The boulevards constitute modern urban public spaces, contributing to increasing the degree of representativeness of the city. They also gather nuclei of public facilities set in landscape design, which in addition to the function of representation (providing a specific place), they constitute spaces of social interaction that develop multiple activities: rallies, outdoor shows, fairs with specific specifics. The boulevards have undergone numerous changes over time. These changes took place depending on the urban and architectural aspect of the city, the needs and comfort of the city, the history and the economic and social aspect. With the advent of boulevards, an effective hierarchy of the Traffic Network is formed, in relation to the traffic capacity, the geometric characteristics of the arteries (length, width) and their different functional destination. The main role is occupied by the new boulevards that become the major network. en_US
