dc.description.abstract | Wastewater treatment plants are large energy consumers.The cost of this energy consumption is reflected in the overall cost, which raises the price of processed water treatment plant. Ways energy efficiency of biological treatment plants based on several directions: • Reduce energy consumption in WWTP through an accurate analysis of the hydraulic scheme and placement of pumping equipment at the optimum position so as to reduce the burden to a minimum; • Choice and producing efficient equipment to carry out the same process requirements imposed by higher yields and thus to reduced energy consumption ; • Automatic control of processes and equipment that restriction of energy consumption is introduced through a special function without affecting the unit or technology; • Use of non-conventional sources ( renewable ) energy sources - wind, solar, geothermal , photovoltaic, biogas combustion in cogeneration plants . | en_US |
