dc.description.abstract CTP technology is one of the newest technologies used in modern printing processes. It primarily refers to the printing plates for offset printing. This technology allows to achieve a better alignment with offset printing, improves the clarity of the output dots by eliminating the intermediate step. Today, there are three types of plates for CTP - photopolymer, silverhalogen and thermal. Silverhalogen and thermal plates are the most popular on the current global market, because the plates provide superior run lengths, in a variety of different conditions. This opens up a range of direct advantages and cost reductions. en_US
