Abstract:
The process of European economic integration also implies the gradual approximation of the level of economic andsocial development of the member states. Cohesion policy is the main investment policy of the EU, which aims to support through its structural funds the reduction of discrepancies between regions and EU states. The multiannual financial framework 2021-2027 brings a series of changes in the distribution of funds, which ultimately affects the economy of some member states. Given that this policy ensures and strengthens solidarity among the European people, we try to elucidate the scenarios of evolution of cohesion in the EU in the next 7 years.
