Abstract:
The elaboration and development of assortment of garments for persons with physical disabilities remains to be one of the actual concerns of specialists in textile. At the same time these problems are interconnected with the social protection policies and human society, as dressing is an important factor in the process of rehabilitation and social reintegration of persons with physical disabilities. This work addresses the problem of designing garments with high ergonomic characteristics and functional elements adapted to the specific requirements of the users with locomotion deficiencies. The theoretical investigations were aimed at the identification of the causes of locomotion disabilities and analysis of specific requirements to the garments, as well as at the determination of technological design correlated with the functional capacities and needs of the persons with locomotion deficiencies. The experimental results of the studies were implemented in a series of models of usual dresses with high ergonomics and functionality for the persons with physical disabilities of locomotion apparatus.
