Abstract:
The study of the traditional Moldovan bondita as a component part of the national costume contributes to the development of the sustainable use of the intangible cultural heritage. It is an objective of scientific exploitation - fundamental of the craft of skin processing and bead making in the history of the Moldovan folk costume. Bondita models are studied based on field materials and literature, they are classified into two subvariant: the central Bondita; and the bondita from the south, being wider, keeping the natural color of the sheepskin, the color brown or black, but also the predominant color white, and the bondita from the north is adjusted on the split body in front, with black and white color.Researching and capitalizing on the traditional techniques of making sheep and lamb skins can be an act of knowledge in itself, but it can also be a complement to the page of history of Moldovan civilization and national identity.
