Abstract:
In the process of enlarging the European Union, it is recommended to support not only economic growth as such, but also the sustainable development of neighboring countries and this can only be done by continuously promoting and supporting cross-border cooperation projects at all levels, different forms and in accordance with the national law of each state. Cross-border cooperation, in different fields, between Romania and the Republic of Moldova has two purposes: first is the one that tries to eliminate the tendencies of territorial isolationism, present with a strong tint among the population and politicians of the Republic of Moldova, and the second goal is to help the Republic of Moldova manage the negative events that this state cannot cope with on its own. The cooperation of the medical systems from Romania and the Republic of Moldova is of great importance, especially now in the case of the pandemic caused by SARS-COV 2. Good cooperation within their Euroregions has strong support from them To the European Union, this action can be considered a preparation for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to this organization, an action desired by both states.
