Abstract:
Professional adaptation means the person’s adaptation to new and concrete conditions of work in a given production group. During this process a detailed introduction to the staff and new
responsibilities, acquisition of behavioral stereotypes, assimilation which is full adaptation to the environment and identification of personal interests and aims with the general ones take place. Therefore, the study of the problems of adaptation to the requirements of the labor market and the employer’s conditions, in order to control effectively this process, is becoming topical. We can point out two groups of factors that influence the successful duration of adaptation process: subjective and environmental. The subjective factors are gender, physiological and psychological personality characteristics, and the environmental factors include the conditions of work, regime and nature of work, specifics of the social environment. That’s why the effective management of the adaptation process requires serious organizational work.
