dc.description.abstract From the category of surgical diseases, a particular importance is given to the diseases affecting the eyes. One of the most serious diseases of the eyeball is panophthalmitis. A series of experiments were performed on cattle. It was used the radical method of surgery treatment - eyeball enucleation. With the purpose of superficial general anesthesia, it was administered 2% solution of xylazine. One of the mandatory requirements for normal wound healing is the absolute removal of all necrotizing orbital tissues, removal of the eyelid lining and adherence of their free edges by applying sutures en_US
