dc.description.abstract There was studied the leaf area of intensive plantations of plum, apricot and cherry trees in terms of age, rootstock, variety and tree crown shape. It was established that the leaf area increased according to the age of trees, significantly depended on the variety and tree crown shape and changed depending on the variety. The most optimal indices of leaf area for the intensive plantations of stone fruit trees have been established for the apricot trees trained according to the improved bush type since the 6 th year of plantation establishment en_US
