Abstract

The apricot tree represents an early tree variety, that’s why its buds may be affected by late spring frosts. Green pruning relies on the feature of this variety, the one of having two or three growth periods. Regarding those mentioned above, we have carried out some researches upon the behavior of some apricot trees with different ripening epochs, submitted to green prunings at different moments. According to the the achieved results, we could conclude that successively to green prunings carried out in the apricot trees at different moments, we were able to notice a much bigger number of fruit buds and also the fruit load has been amplified
