Abstract:
The influence of temperature on the photodissolution of Ag into glassy As2S3 films has beenstudied by monitoring the changes that occurs in transmission of weakly absorbed broadband light. It wasshown that besides of a low induction period, the photodissolution kinetics consists of two linear steps withdifferent activation energies, followed by a parabolic tail. The transitions between photodissolution steps wasfound to be not monotonous and explained in terms of Elliott’s model, which asserts a simultaneous ionic andelectronic charge transport controlled by chalcogenide properties, illumination and temperature.
