Abstract:
The purpose of the investigations was to evaluate the effect of the Coriocen tissue product used in the prevention and correction of hypoglycemia in new-born piglets and weaned hypotrepsic piglets. As a result of the research, we have found that there is a close correlation between the degree of lowering of blood glucose and the severity of clinical signs. Blood glucose starts to increase from 4 days after starting treatment. The highest values were obtained after 15 days of administration and had a growth trend similar to that of clinically healthy piglets of the same age. The weaned pork, treated with Coriocen, became more active, consumed more food, and showed interest in their congener. There was also a rise in blood glucose (83,2 mg %) from the control group (73,0 mg %).
