dc.description.abstract As semi-autonomous driving technology, exemplified by vehicles like Tesla, becomes increasingly prevalent, the standardization and adaptation of road sign requirements play a pivotal role in ensuring safe and efficient transportation systems. This study conducts a comparative analysis of road sign regulations in the European Union (EU) and the Republic of Moldova (RM), examining the current specifications and their implications for the integration of semi-autonomous driving vehicles. Furthermore, the study identifies anticipated challenges and complexities arising from the integration of semi-autonomous driving cars within diverse regulatory frameworks. These challenges encompass issues related to the recognition and interpretation of signs by automated systems, the need for real-time updates and standardizations, as well as the harmonization of regulations to facilitate seamless cross-border travel. The findings underscore the necessity for coordinated efforts among regulatory authorities, automotive manufacturers, and technology developers to establish unified standards for road sign requirements. Addressing these challenges demands a collaborative approach aimed at creating internationally recognized signage guidelines that ensure the safety, reliability, and operability of semi-autonomous driving systems across different geographical regions. en_US
