Abstract:
The wine industry of the Republic of Moldova is currently undergoing important reforms to expand a new development strategy, technical reconstruction, expansion of the raw material base with promising local varieties of grapes. The open National Office of Vine and Wine (NOVW) is already implementing the adopted Law on Grapes and Wine, a new brand for promotion, holds Wine Vernissages to form a culture of consumption. This work analyzes the assortment of Moldovan wines in 2019, where 47 large and small producers of more than 300 types of wines were exhibited. The quality of wines at the last 16th and 17th Openings was very high, at this level of a medal in competitions. That wine, as a hygienic drink useful for digestion, is in wide demand among consumers, and small producers have taken a course of development towards high-quality wines with a terroir index, corresponding to international standards.
