dc.description.abstract | In today's cooking, rice represents a stuff nobody can leave it aside. 350 million tones of rice are produced annually, however only 4 % of production is exported worldwide. For the last 30 years, aggregate rise consumption rose from 61,5 kg to approximately 85,9 kg per capita, which represents a 40 % increase. In the Republic of Moldova there is an approximately 3,2 kg rice consumption per capita. The assortment of home-produced rice has registered an important increase for the last two years. It is due to the Mediterranean and Asian influences that started to expand into the premium segment of the market. | en_US |
