dc.description.abstract The technologies for production of microwire, with metallic core and glass coat, are progressing continuously. The microwire applications domains also extend quickly. Therefore it is required to be improved the control of production quality for microwire. This can be done by using optical methods for measuring the diameter of the entire microwire, as well as the thickness of the glass coat. en_US
