dc.description.abstract In the work paper are presented the results obtained from experimental, model and exploitation researches, effectuated over piston rings with different profiles of the exterior surface, situated in permanent contact with the cylinder liner. Comparative experiments have shown the utilization effectiveness of doublebarreled piston rings regarding oil consumption and cylinders’ wear. en_US
