dc.description.abstract Trauma is considered as an epidemic and remains a major medical and socio-economical problem despite of major successes in pre- and intrahospital management.ALI/ARDS is one of the most important and frequent complication in intensive care unit, being a predictor of serious systemic disorders. Incidence and mortality of polytrauma patients complicated by ALI/ARDS (Acute Lung Injury/Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) are not well studied. For multiple trauma in different studies these vary from 12-39% and 25-40% respectively. The importance of proteases/antiproteases system in ALI/ARDS caused by polytrauma is poor investigated. We analyzed a1antitrypsin,ά2macroglobulin, elastase, cathepsin G values for experimental ALI/ARDS polytrauma model. en_US
