Abstract:
In this paper, the author tried to highlight the major players as well as the trends
on the global and European market, which directly affect the development of Moldova's light
industry. The author presented both the trends regarding the exports to the European market
of the main world producers and of producers near the European market, among them
Moldova. The summarized trends and opportunities in the European fashion market made
by CBI are presented. The author stresses the attention that Moldovan Light Industry Companies
need to know the trends of the foreign market so they can adjust and develop their
own offer accordingly. The strategic directions adopted by Eurotex, which provide the new
business models, improved production and R & D as well as sustainability are presented
and mentioned that Moldova's light industry must take into consideration those key factor for
its development.
