dc.description.abstract | Due to the role of Information and communication technologies (ICT) in ensuring business competitiveness, the application of ICT solutions in smart specialization sectors is a priority. Exploiting the results of research, development and innovation (RDI) in priority areas of ICT is a prerequisite for ensuring the innovative level of these solutions. The paper presents a methodological approach to define the RDI offer of interest for business environment, structured on the following phases: selection of relevant thematic areas, identification of generic type solutions with high applicability potential, and categorization of RDI specific services that could be configured based on generic solutions. The approach is exemplified by the implementation results obtained in a project completed in November 2017. The Sensing as a Service case study is detailed to illustrate these services. | en_US |
