Abstract:
The paper presents results of a comparative analysis of the statistical characteristics of summer precipitation totals over 50–60 years of observations in the areas protected against hail and the surrounding areas. It is shown that, despite the general trend of decreasing summer precipitation totals, the meteorological stations located in the center of the protected areas record a 5–9% increase in this parameter compared with the data of meteorological stations located outside the protected zone. It is found that the increase in the autumn precipitation totals recorded at the meteorological stations located in the areas protected against hail achieves 33%.
