dc.description.abstract In this paper is described an innovative, easy to reuse heart assist device implying low production and maintenance costs, which needs minimally invasive techniques for the connection to the arterial system and that assists the failing heart according to the counterpulsation principle as an eligible solution for developing countries but also in case of emergency situations such as wars or natural disasters worldwide. en_US
