Abstract:
This paper presents a research study on the influence of atmospheric humidity on the rate of corrosion of steel in reinforced concrete cracks. Speed deployment process of reinforcement corrosion in concrete cracks is determined largely by the nature of environmental action and its aggressiveness. Corrosion of steel increases linearly increasing relative humidity. Because of decreasing ohmic resistance of concrete moist action intensifies and accelerates pairs galvanic anode. Likelihood of corrosion, surface spreading and depth pinch valve increases with increasing crack opening.
