Aspects of the ethical behavior from a neurological perspective

Abstract

Ethical behavior is based on logic and reason, on a conscious processuality, specific to the left hemisphere mode. It has the function of processing logical information, and the right parietal hemisphere in the human brain has a nervous center in which all moral decisions are "processed" through a peripheral memory. Moral conduct is a way of behaving, presupposes human action, and is regulated by moral consciousness, which unites organically psychic and behavioral facts. Consciousness is expressed in knowledge converted into attitudes, behaviours which can be developed through professional ethics, discipline that can be taught and learned, and consequently changing the behaviour of the learner.

Comportamentul etic se bazează pe logică şi raţiune, pe o procesualitate conştientă, specific modului de funcţionare a emisferei stângi. Aceasta are funcţia de a procesa informaţiile logice, raţionale, iar emisfera parietală dreaptă, din creierul uman, are un centru nervos în care toate deciziile cu caracter moral sunt "procesate" printr-o filieră de memorie periferică. Conduita morală reprezintă o manieră de a ne comporta, presupune acţunea umană şi este reglată de conştiinţa morală, care uneşte organic faptele psihice cu cele de comportament. Conștiinţa este exprimată în cunoștinţele convertite în atitudini, în comportamente care pot fi dezvoltate prin etica profesională, disciplină ce poate fi predată şi învăţată, iar în consecinţă modificând comportamentul celui ce învaţă.
