Abstract:
The presentation reflects the results of the survey to explore agricultural researchers' attitudes towards openness and sharing of research data. The survey results show that the vast majority of respondents are aware of the benefits and advantages of open research data, but they also identify several challenges and concerns that reduce their willingness to share their data. These concerns include challenges such as time constraints, data security issues, concerns about relinquishing control over intellectual property, and the potential for misinterpretation and misuse of data. Participants also expressed a strong interest in support from libraries and highlighted the need for training in research data management. Achieving open data goals and reducing barriers to accessing and sharing research results will require significant effort, sound research data management practices, awareness raising, consolidation, support and training.
