Abstract:
The political changes from the 1940 s, have imposed a new ideological concept to the national painting, being derived from the marxist-Leninism theories, from which „the socialist realist” manner. The new fashion proposes to painting a return to neoclassical values, which would allow a deepening of semantic content and a more complex compositional structure. The figurative trend from 1945 to 1950 has tended to deepen the spiritual and the emotional qualities and to catch the typological feature of the characters.The figurative composition has gradually aproached the historic and the revolutionary themes, describing them through a narative and explanatory attitude towards the historic event, representing them as through the emotional and spiritual way, as well as through the political one, which has been expressed through the figurative point of view and which influences the work`s semantics.
