Abstract

If we are to take a look at the map of the transportation system in the area around the Eastern border of the European Union, we don’t need to wonder which the level of regional economic development is. The economic performances are indissolubly connected with the development, diversity and viability of the communication channels. The European Union promotes a good vicinity policy regarding its external borders and, this fact implies, undoubtedly, a transfer of wealth as a guarantee of normality and stability. This fact is possible only through adopting and developing the transportation system.
