dc.description.abstract The paper focuses on the Nuclear Security Summit process and its implication toward an expected world Nuclear Security regime, which shall involve medical facilities as well. It is based on communiqués and on the joint statements of participants and references from the Nuclear Security Summit web site. It aims to specify the features of Nuclear Security as prevention of malicious acts, compared to Nuclear Safeguards (counter proliferation) or Nuclear Safety (avoiding nuclear accidents). It adopts a historical analysis methodology, based on empirical research on official sources. en_US
