| dc.description.abstract | In this article, it has been addressed the topic “Influence of the configuration and structure of the road network on traffic safety” by detailing the conditions that cause a road accident. Being determined the cause, it is proposed an analysis of effects of different types of systemic risk factors for the production of accidents in traffic, followed by models that can be developed to estimate road accidents. These models can be applied in the stage of urban planning, it is useful in identifying configurations and measures that can help reduce the risk of accidents and increase the performances of road traffic safety. | en_US |
