Abstract

The aim of this work was to study the particularities of growing cucumbers on a trellis. Growing cucumbers on a trellis is easy and has many of great benefits too. Cucumbers plants need plenty of airflow to prevent the spread of disease and fungus problems, and an open trellis gives them plenty of airflow. Plus, when the plants are crammed together, it’s much more difficult to harvest the cucumbers. Cucumbers on a trellis produced the total yield - 51,6 t/ha and obtained the largest amount of cucumbers with the fruits length 6-9 cm.
